Two day online Summer School for ECR's and PGR's
Two ECRs in the School of Education, Dangeni and Emily-Marie Pacheco are organising an Virtual Summer School titled Rethinking International Student Issues, scheduled for July 6-7, 2021.
This two-day online summer school is supported by the University of Glasgow Chancellor’s Fund with the intention of providing a space for early career researchers (ECRs) and post-graduate research students (PGRs) to engage in active, interdisciplinary discussion about international students-related issues and the research process in this field. The online summer school will feature a variety of talks and workshops on international student experiences, mobility of students and researchers, and new directions of research. As a platform for ECRs to gain research insights and develop their skills, the event intends to build a supportive professional network between colleagues in the field across the globe, following an unprecedented period of disconnect and hardship in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will feature a number of keynote speeches and workshop-style training sessions for developing research skills, from leading scholars in this area.
