Lauren Boath, with former colleague Alexia Barrable, have had a paper accepted for the SERA Research Education Bulletin Early Years Network Special Issue. ‘The child as coresearcher in the early years: What do children like in the outdoors’ explores part of a larger project which was interrupted by COVID closures in which children as coresearchers helped to develop the outdoor space of a nursery within a primary school with a focus on opportunities for STEM. This paper explores one aspect of the project, working with children aged 2-5 to understand ‘what they like in the outdoors’.
