Indigenous engagement, research partnerships, and knowledge mobilisation
The project delivered a ‘think piece’ to inform the international development research community (across disciplines), on best practice when engaging with indigenous peoples to ensure co-production of knowledge and effective knowledge mobilization. The piece is based on an extensive critical review of recent literature and highlights good practice as well as making recommendations that have potential for broader impact beyond academia. In particular, the think piece is intended to directly feed into inform a forthcoming ESRC and AHRC led workshop and activities that aim to develop a publication detailing best practice, future strategic research initiatives and related research activities and opportunities for collaboration ahead of the development of future research plans. The think piece will be made publicly available via the ESRC website.
