We are very pleased to report that Dr Ievgeniia Dragomirova has been appointed as a Research Fellow in Adult Education supported within the British Academy and Cara’s Researchers at Risk Fellowships scheme by the Nuffield Foundation.
Over the next two years she will join the Centre for Research and Development in Adult and Lifelong Learning, researching the processes of integration of newly arrived older migrants in crisis (particularly those, but not exclusively, from Ukraine) into British society through their exposure to later life learning opportunities.
You can read more of Ievgeniia’s story, including her very challenging path from Donetsk to Mariupol to Glasgow in her own words at the link below.

We are very grateful for the great support given to this application by the University of Glasgow, and in particular by Vice-Principals, Rachel Sandison and Sara Carter, and we are very pleased to be hosting her in the School of Education.
