Two PGR students from the School of Education were selected to present their research on 17 March at an event organised by CIVIS, Europe's civic university alliance.

Hsiao-Chiang (Hope) Wang and Yi Chen (Amy), both PhD students at the School, presented their work at the 'Generating Roadmaps for Research in Museums' online event.

The online gathering was designed as a collaborative space for PhD students working on heritage-, museum-, and collection-related topics. Rather than a traditional academic conference, this meeting emphasized peer-to-peer networking, building new connections, and exchanging ideas in a supportive environment.

Third-year PGR student Hsiao-Chiang (Hope) Wang, who is supervised by Professor Alison Phipps and Dr Sadie Ryan, presented her research on the topic "Co-creating the Values of World Heritage Sites with Refugees: a world view perspective".

Yi Chen (Amy), who is in he first year and is supervised by Dr Margaret McColl and Dr Sadie Ryan, gave her presentation on the subject "Exploring the impact of cultural identity of Third Culture Kid (TCK) and Cross Culture Kid (CCK) on understanding museum narratives".

The event was held as part of the Museum University Forum (MUF), an emerging initiative within the CIVIS Alliance that brings together universities and museums to foster research and teaching collaborations.
