Visiting Fellowships
For the academic year 2019-20 we have funds to support a visiting fellowship which it is envisioned would help to support an early career researcher, post-PhD, to spend a short period of 4-6 weeks working in association with members of the centre and engaging with material, archives, movements in Glasgow. The successful applicant would be assigned a mentor from the membership of the network whose expertise has a good fit with the proposed work. It is envisioned that the Visiting Fellow would contribute a seminar to the Network’s seminar series during the visit.
The Visiting Fellowship would cover up to £1500 which could be used for travel to Glasgow, accommodation and/or subsistence. It would not be possible to claim salary expenses.
To apply for the fellowship, please submit a brief CV, a short biography (150 words) and a one-page covering statement detailing:
- how your research contributes to the field and interests of the Network
- what you plan to do during your time in Glasgow
- a budget for using the £1500
Please also provide a provisional title and short abstract for a seminar paper.
The application and any queries should be sent to: David.Featherstone@glasgow.ac.uk and Vassiliki.Kolocotroni@glasgow.ac.uk by Friday 11 October 2019.
