Nokia Bell Labs Women's Scholarship
Applications are invited from female UK citizens for the Nokia Bell Labs Women’s Scholarship. This scholarship is part of a world-wide initiative across Nokia Bell Labs locations to increase recruitment of women into further study of STEM subjects, with the longer term goal of increasing the proportion of women employed by the company in R&D. This scholarship is for one excellent candidate to pursue a PhD in Computing Science at the University of Glasgow in a topic of her choosing, subject to appropriate supervision arrangements within the School of Computing Science.

Terms and Conditions
The recipient’s tuition fees will be paid by the scholarship for 3.5 years of full-time study (part-time pro-rata for 6-8 years). The student will also receive a stipend in line with Research Council rates. The name and university email address of the recipient will be shared with Nokia Bell Labs on award, to enable communication between the recipient and the company. The recipient will have informal opportunities to meet with Nokia Bell Labs employees to discuss their research, and receive information about Nokia Bell Labs regarding job and other opportunities with the company. The scholarship does not represent an offer or guarantee of a job with Nokia Bell Labs in any way. The recipient of the scholarship will own any intellectual property that they generate during the course of their studies.
