60 years of Computing in Glasgow
In 1957, the University of Glasgow became the first University in Scotland to have an electronic computer. To mark the 60th anniversary, the School of Computing Science held a series of celebratory events throughout 2017, including the launch if our pioneering new Centre for Computing Science Education, bringing together leading researchers, figures from the School’s past, alumni, students, educators, and industry.
