Athena SWAN in the School of Chemistry

The School of Chemistry is proud to have been awarded an Athena SWAN Bronze award in November 2014, which was renewed in April 2019.

The Equality Challenge Unit (ECU) established the Athena SWAN charter in 2005 to recognise and promote the careers of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM). We are committed to upholding the principles of the Athena SWAN charter, and in doing so support and promote a diverse, inclusive and welcoming culture for all staff within School of Chemistry.
