Philip Schlesinger led the panel session on the Digital Single Market, presenting a paper at the CulturalBase Policy Workshop at the European University Institute in Florence (1-2 December). He related current policy to the history of intervention in the cultural field, considered current developments and argued that a critical and normative stance was particularly important at this time of transforming politics.
