CCPR's director, Professor Philip Schlesinger, delivered a paper on 'Expertise, the academy and the governance of cultural policy' in the Central Sessions of the VII International Conference on Cultural Policy Research, held in Barcelona on 9-12 July. The paper reflected on the increasingly complex role of those academics who address the policy process and how the changing research economy is transforming the nature of public engagement.
