The seminar ‘Arts Policy and National Identity in Scotland: Past and Future’ marked the conclusion of a CCPR project investigating the history of the Scottish Arts Council, supported by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (view

The invitation only seminar brought together arts practitioners, policymakers and academics for a lively discussion about national identity and the role of institutions. Findings from the Scottish Arts Council research informed a wider discussion about national identity in contemporary cultural policy focusing on the future role of Creative Scotland.
