Creative Futures: an evening in conversation with Bill Paterson
Join us on Thursday 21 November, 6pm, at the James Arnott Theatre, Gilmorehill Halls for a very special evening in the company of our Honorary Doctorate and internationally renowned, award-winning actor, Bill Paterson.
Rightly claimed by The Scotsman as one of the truly great Scottish actors of the last 50 years, Dennistoun-born Bill was a founding member of the iconic 7.84 (Scotland) theatre company, touring their first show, The Cheviot, the Stag and the Black, Black Oil. In the decades which have followed, Bill has taken on a huge diversity of roles across theatre, television, film and radio, including, in theatre, Death and the Maiden and Waiting for Godot; in film The Killing Fields, Comfort and Joy, and Truly, Madly, Deeply; and on TV, Aufwiedersehn Pet, The Singing Detective, The Crow Road and, more recently, Outlander, Shetland, Guilt, The House of Dragon, and Fleabag (‘Fleadad’).
