Biography
Dr Simon Beggs trained in medicine at the University of Edinburgh (MBChB) before moving to Glasgow to undertake clinical training in general medicine. Following a 14-month clinical fellowship with the Scottish National Advanced Heart Failure Service at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, he paused his clinical training to pursue research into the role played by cardiac arrhythmias in heart failure (as part of a PhD, under the supervision of Prof Roy Gardner, Prof Mark Petrie and Prof John McMurray).
