Biography

Fariha Naeem is a Clinical Lecturer and Specialist Registrar in Geriatric Medicine. She completed her pre-clinical studies at the University of Cambridge including an intercalated year working within the physiology, development and neuroscience department. She completed her clinical studies at the University of Oxford and graduated with first class honours in 2013. Fariha returned to the West of Scotland to start her clinical training and commenced specialist registrar training in Geriatric Medicine in 2017. Alongside her clinical commitments she has contributed to systematic reviews, review articles and undergraduate teaching. 
 
She has recently been appointed as Clinical Lecturer in Geriatric Medicine within the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health. She hopes to use this opportunity to combine her clinical and academic interests in frailty, cognitive decline and stroke as well as collaborate with other researchers interested in the health of older people.
