Another successful walking challenge was held this June

Walking Challenge Winners

This year's SCMH Walk Across the World walking challenge has now been completed. This year we had a wonderful 60 participants in the challenge.

The Opening Ceremony was held on the 30th of May, with participants invited to make their map character and name for the leaderboard.

The challenge took place throughout the month of June and there were some impressive point scores over the month.

Our impressive winner was Joyce (Jiayue) Ling with an amazing 1,094,852 points! (Walking from John O’Groats to Ballantrae in South Ayrshire). In second place was Sol Olivera with 902,669 points and in third place was Max Ralston with 902,208 points.

In the team competition, the winner was The Outsiders (Sol Olivera, Joyce Ling, Richard McFarlane, George Baillie, Nicola Ralston, Madihah Hussain) with 4,081,192 points. In second place was Scrambled Legs (Connor Blair, Yi Zhan, Max Ralston, Bria O’Gorman, Sean Cooke, Alina Zorn) with 3,626,950 points, and in third place was Team Work (Lorraine Work, Marianne Donald, Wendy Beattie, Lara Birch, Nicola Gilroy, Caitlin Cosgrove).

In the honourable mentions, most creative went to the Sausage Rollers (Michelle Lee, Anna Kamdar, John McAbney, Sasha Forbes, Eline Huethorst, Erin Boland), best couple went to Liz and Joan, worst photo went to Lorraine Work, Katie Sutherland, Delyth Graham, and Blair Anderson. Best photo went to Michelle Lee, best selfie was George Baillie, most consistent was Rizky Malik Budu, best loser went to Natalie Miller, and dark horse went to Iain Black.
