Boost Your Life Expectancy with Healthier Eating!

A recent collaborative study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition reveals that adopting healthier eating habits can significantly increase life expectancy. Dr. Carlos Celis from the SCMH participated in this research, which estimates life expectancy gains from transitioning to longevity-optimizing dietary changes, feasible dietary modifications, and optimized vegan diets in various countries, including China, France, Germany, Iran, Norway, the UK, and the US.

For 40-year-olds, life expectancy could increase by 6.2 to 9.7 years, with the most substantial gains seen in the US. Key changes include consuming more whole grains, legumes, and nuts while reducing red/processed meats and sugary beverages. Embrace these dietary shifts for a longer, healthier life!
