Pint of Science is an annual worldwide science festival, which runs this year from May 13th-15th.  The festival brings researchers to local pubs to share their scientific discoveries with the public in fun, relaxed, and informal ways.  Each evening there will be between 4 and 5 events hosted in pubs around Glasgow City Centre and West End.  Each event will be on one of the themes:

  • Our body
  • Beautiful mind
  • Tech me out
  • Atom to galaxies,
  • Creative reactions (where local artists have collaborated with scientist to showcase the science though art)

In an event, you can expect to see multiple experts sharing cutting edge research through relaxed talks, demonstrations, or live experiments. There will also be games or activities in between speakers to keep you engaged while filling up your pint glasses!   Tickets are £5 and should be bought in advance online.

Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation organised by a grass-root community of thousands of volunteers from science, research, and academia and all ticket costs goes to running the festival.
