Elaine has recently re-joined SCMH as a technician.
Elaine returned to SCMH in November 2023 as a technician working in the Baillie lab.
Elaine has taken on the role of lab manager for a large group of post docs, PhD and master's students. Elaine previously worked as a technician in the Sir Graeme Davies building when it first opened in 2006. Elaine has worked at the university for over 15 years and has a degree in Molecular Biology. She has experience in various molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction, Cloning, Western blotting and cell culture. She previously worked with Prof Will fuller on palmitoylation and is on several papers from that laboratory. After being on grant funded contracts Elaine is now delighted to be on a permanent contract.
