We would like to congratulate Robert Sykes as he has completed his MSc (Res) and is now starting his PhD

'I am a clinical research fellow since 2020, initially to undertake an MSc (Res) and now following on to a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Science. I’m a doctor based in cardiology at the Golden Jubilee and the study I am research fellow for is investigating a stratified diagnostic strategy and treatment for patients who have a heart attack or heart injury with no obstructive coronary arteries.

I was an undergraduate medical student at Edinburgh University where I also studied for an intercalated BSc in Epidemiology.

I moved to Glasgow in 2016 for clinical training, and since completed a PG certificate at the University of Glasgow and was recently conferred for an MSc (Res) based on my work in the CISCO-19 research study, with Prof. Berry.

I currently live in Westerton, with my wife and two daughters. I enjoy playing and listening to live music, playing and watching rugby and golf, and the local being immersed in the countryside, with roots in farming in Ayrshire.'

We wish you all the best with your studies!
