We are delighted that the newly updated and majorly revised SCMH Athena swan webpage is now live:

Please have a look and, most importantly, let us know what you think. You can email us at: scmh-Athenaswan@glasgow.ac.uk or

We’re particularly interested to know:

  • Are you able to find all the information you expect?
  • Is the information in the places you would expect?
  • Do you find the site easy to navigate?

We have worked hard to take on board the key issues raised in the most recent culture survey and ensure that inaccessible information is now readily available.

We aim to highlight key areas around community (including induction processes and available support) and development (including mentoring, career development, and promotion/regrading), which were the focus of many survey comments.

There is also a noticeboard so you can easily see forthcoming Athena Swan-related events: https://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/cardiovascularmetabolic/athenaswan/noticeboard

Finally, to ensure that the impact of Athena swan is celebrated and understood, we have added “our impact” section as well.

We want to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to Tracy McArthur for all the time and effort spent on this extensive website redesign.  Tracy essentially rebuilt the website to give a format that we feel flows more logically and covers the key content you would expect to see on our pages.  Do let us know how you find it and, indeed, if there is anything you couldn’t find on it but expected to!
