Biography

Sara Wang joined the Adam Smith Business School in September 2024, as a lecturer in Finance. Previously, she held academic position at Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School).

Sara obtained the MSc in Money, Banking and Finance from Lancaster University and the PhD in Finance from University of Bristol. She also holds the Fellowship certificate of the Higher Education Academy(FHEA) in learning and teaching. Her main research areas of interest lie in banking, especially in the topics of bank lending, bank regulation and climate risks.

Sara is a member of the School's Finance research cluster.

Teaching

Her academic teaching experience in higher education began during her PhD and gradually expanded when she held an academic position at Bayes Business School. Over the past five years, she has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Additionally, she holds a Fellowship certificate from the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in learning and teaching.
