Biography
Dr Reika Igarashi is a Lecturer in Marketing at the Adam Smith Business School. Reika holds a PhD in Marketing, and an MA in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from the University of Leeds (Leeds University Business School).
Reika’s research revolves around “Technology in Marketing” and her research themes include, technostress – stress comes from the use of technology – among frontline sales and service employees and consumers, Use of AI in sales and service settings, online consumer behaviour, and influencer and virtual influencer marketing.
Reika’s previous work on technostress was published in the Journal of International Marketing and her work on virtual influencers was published in Psychology and Marketing.

Reika is a member of the School's Marketing research cluster.
