Biography
Nick is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and joined the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School in 2019 following a career in industry. Nick is the Director of the MBA and Executive Education.
He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and an MEd in Academic Practice from the University of Glasgow, and an MBA and MSc in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde. His undergraduate degree was in Economics. He is a Fellow of Research Excellence in Teaching (FRET) and Chartered Manager and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow, Nick worked in a variety of roles, including as a director of a manufacturing business and as a management consultant in the areas of organisational development, culture and leadership. In this capacity, he has worked with hundreds of companies of all sizes and in all sectors throughout the UK and has also designed and delivered executive education programmes with a wide variety of organisations. Nick is also a director of Sustainable Thinking Scotland which grows fresh produce for foodbanks in the Bo’Ness area and manufactures and sells Biochar for agricultural purposes and water remediation.
