Biography
Dr Lisa Chamberlain is a Lecturer in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour at the Adam Smith Business School. She holds a PhD in Management from the University of Liverpool, where she was previously awarded an MSc in Human Resource Management.
Her research investigates quality of working life within micro and small businesses, employment relationships in these contexts, craft and creative work, and visual research methods. Her PhD research explored hairdressers’ quality of working life and employment relationships and inspired new interests in the use of digital technologies in traditionally manual trades, training and apprenticeships, and netnographic research methods.
Prior to becoming an academic, Lisa worked in human resources in the private sector and in logistics and administration in the public sector. She earned her BA in Humanities from University of Maryland Global Campus. Lisa is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (Assoc. CIPD).

Lisa is a member of the School's Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour research cluster.
