Biography

Denisse Rodriguez-Olivari has recently joined the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow as a Research Associate, focusing on Integrity Management Systems. In this role, she examines organisational aspects of ethics, integrity compliance, and corruption within both public and private sectors. Her work involves researching corruption dynamics, assessing regulatory frameworks, and implementing integrity management systems to prevent corporate misconduct. This position is part of the BridgeGap project, an EU-funded anti-corruption initiative dedicated to developing innovative strategies to mitigate corruption and undue influences on decision-making processes.

Prior to this role, Denisse was a Policy Leader Fellow in the School of Transnational Governance at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy. She also has experience in consultancy for governments and international organisations in the Americas and Europe, providing evidence-based recommendations, conducting risk assessments, and developing training programmes in integrity risks, political finance, and Sustainable Development Goal 16.

She has fieldwork experience in Lima, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, and Brasilia. Her work has been supported by the DAAD, the Centre for International Migration and Development (joint operation of GIZ and the German Federal Employment Agency), the Faculty of Humanities - at the University of Manchester, the Institute of Social Sciences - Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Santander Latin American Study Award, King's College Doctoral Training Centre, King's College International Development Institute, Stellenbosch University, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, among others.
