Biography
Areti Chavale is a Lecturer in Management at the Adam Smith Business School working on the intersection of art, business and law.
After obtaining her BA from Oxford Brookes University and her MLitt from the joint programme of Christies Education and the University of Glasgow, she gained a decade of art market work experience, mainly in auction houses, but also in museums and galleries. She completed her PhD at the University of Glasgow, an interdisciplinary subject titled 'Artist's Resale Right and the Art Market: Evidence from British Art Auctions'. Her work also focuses on impact and knowledge exchange across the academic, business and policy worlds.
Areti is the Deputy Director and Dissertation Convenor for MSc Marketing online.
