University of Adelaide appointment for Professor Colin Mason

Professor Colin Mason has been appointed Adjunct Professor with the University of Adelaide for the next three years.

Professor Colin Mason Professor Colin Mason has been appointed Adjunct Professor with the University of Adelaide for the next three years. The University of Adelaide is in Australia’s ‘Group of Eight’ research oriented universities – the equivalent of the UK’s Russell Group.

During November he spent three weeks in Adelaide, based in the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He gave a seminar to the South Australia Government Department of State on ‘Can governments create entrepreneurial ecosystems?’ and a public lecture on ‘The new era of angel investing and Adelaide’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem’.

Professor Mason’s role also includes informally advising PhD students, participating in the Centre’s Research Retreat feedback on papers by PhD students and early career staff, and advising at the University’s Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Workshop.

During his tenure Professor Mason will also contribute to a workshop to develop an Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation and Innovation Centre (ECIC) Strategic Innovation of Place (SIP) (Australian Research Council) ARC Grant and participate in a retreat to develop ECIC strategy development.
