"Assigning schools when walk zones overlap"

Room 141B, Adam Smith Business School
Abstract
Students often have higher priority for a school if they live within walking distance (in the walk zone). A typical walk zone is a one-mile radius circle. I argue that we must carefully consider how we allocate priority when schools have overlapping walk zones. This issue is important because walk zones overlap extensively in many cities.
