Students gain key skills in virtual business case competition
School students competing in the Close the Deal global business competition are working with an industry professional mentor to gain key skills for their future career.
Close the Deal enables undergraduate and postgraduate students to collaborate with 450 students from 70 Universities around the world and build their international networks.
Those who take part gain teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills. They also join weekly practical merger and acquisition technical sessions to learn how to initiate a potential merger and acquisition transaction.
Competing teams need to undertake in-depth industry research and create a pitch that suggests the possible merger or acquisition of two firms. They have the opportunity to present to a panel of Investment Banking and Private Equity Professionals.
Close the Deal is a unique competition which allows students to gain practical merger and acquisition experience without taking an internship. It is taking place virtually.
