STUDY ABROAD
Semester and year-long exchange
Study abroad during your degree
Find a unique opportunity to gain international experience, develop new insights on your studies and give a boost to your CV by studying for a semester or year with one of our partner institutions.
To study abroad, you need to have a good academic and disciplinary standing. This is why undergraduate students study abroad in their third year of study, after successfully studying four semesters in their degree and progressing to Honours.
The University of Glasgow’s Go Abroad team will help you explore your semester and academic year opportunities while the Adam Smith Business School International Team, including subject mobility coordinators, will provide support with subject-specific academic matters. The Go Abroad Fair takes place each year during October, and this is highly recommended for students considering studying abroad. Subject specific events are held after the fair.
The deadline to apply is in early December of your second year, so you can start planning early! Sign up for the Go Abroad Moodle for information on how to apply and be sure check the Undergraduate Student Information Portal for academic guidance.
On your return, your grades are converted from your semester or year abroad to count toward your degree at University of Glasgow.
Then, why not pay it forward and help inspire the next generation of students to go abroad? Keep an eye out for opportunities to promote exchange and feedback to make the experience even better for future students.
