Adam Smith and Family Business
12 November 2024, 4.30pm - 7.00pm BST
Hot House, Adam Smith Business School, 2 Discovery Place, Glasgow, G11 6EY
In conjunction with the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow, the Scottish Family Business Community would like to invite you to the next in our series of in-person events which will take a fresh, modern take on the topic of succession.
Planning for succession is a challenging task, however, this has been further complicated by demographic changes which see family members now living longer than at any time in history and generational boundaries increasingly blurred. As a result, succession planning now often involves more than two generations, so the conventional idea of planning from one generation to the next is now arguably defunct.

Please join us for an interactive in-person session which will explore this idea and offer practical ideas on how different generations can understand what each other wants and work together to ensure an effective transition for the good of the family and the business.
The event will be held in Room 282 (Hot House), Adam Smith Building, University of Glasgow, 2 Discovery Place, Glasgow, G11 6EY.
Places are limited and registration is essential. We hope to see you there!
