We were honoured to welcome Daron Acemoglu, Institute Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to present his lecture titled "Power and Progress: Our Thousand-Year Struggle over Technology and Prosperity".
In addition to presenting a fascinating lecture for the Adam Smith Distinguished Speakers Series, and in recognition of his contribution to research on economics and public policy, Professor Acemoglu was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University.
