Dr Donald Reid is a Lecturer within the School of Biodiversity, One Health & Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow and teaches animal biology and statistics.

He completed his PhD in Environmental & Evolutionary Biology with a NERC CASE studentship in Marine Scotland determining links between environmental conditions, energetic strategies and performance in juvenile Atlantic salmon. He continued post-doctoral research in animal ecology at Norsk institutt for naturforskning and IAMC-CNR and teaching positions at University of Glasgow and the University of the West of Scotland.

He is a Learning, Teaching & Scholarship track lecturer with a Master of Education in Academic Practice. He is the lead for Integrated Quantitative Skills across the Life Sciences Portfolio and Lecturer in Statistics for the Life Sciences. He leads the statistics training courses at the Biochemical Society.
