Reviewing the impact of aquaculture on wild fish
Prof. Colin Adams
The aquaculture industry internationally is growing rapidly but this industry has the potential to impact on the natural environment and particularly on wild fish populations. This project seeks to identify the potential risks to wild fish populations from aquaculture operations in freshwater and inshore marine habitats and to quantify the magnitude of these risks. This work will ultimately assist in planning the location and form of aquaculture operations undertaken in aquatic systems.
