Idris’ academic background is in Accounting and Transnational Financial Crime. With his PhD research, Idris aims to critically examine the intersections between rural poverty and educational outcomes. By highlighting the impact of socio-economic factors on educational aspirations he will address the root causes of educational disparities, localised within a framework of rural poverty in Scotland.
