Data Lab Masters Scholarship

The University has been awarded funding to support 2 postgraduate taught places in MSc Data Analytics and 3 postgraduate taught places in MSc Urban Analytics for entry in September 2025. The Data Lab funding covers tuition fees and includes participation in The Data Lab’s Academy employability skills programme and the opportunity to apply for a paid industrial placement. Participation in The Data Lab Academy is compulsory for the funded students. You may also wish to investigate additional living costs funding options available to students undertaking postgraduate taught study.

The Data Lab-funded places, supported by the Scottish Funding Council, are awarded on a competitive basis.

To be eligible students must:

• hold a conditional or unconditional offer for the MSc Data Analytics or MSc Urban Analytics postgraduate taught programmes
• have home fee status

Funded places are allocated by the course convener of each programme or an academic panel within each subject/programme. Assessment will be based on the quality of the application, specifically your prior record of academic achievement. The academic panel may request extra supporting documents from the candidates at a later stage.
