About Urban Analytics at Glasgow

Our interdisciplinary research combines urban studies with cutting-edge technologies in data science, artificial intelligence, and spatial analysis to address complex urban challenges like traffic congestion, social inequality, disaster resilience, and resource optimization.

We focus on developing innovative methods to analyse urban dynamics using both traditional data (e.g., census data and land use records) and new forms of urban data emerging from digital devices, sensors, and interconnected network. Our subject group works closely with policymakers, urban planners, and industry partners to ensure that our findings translate into actionable solutions for sustainable urban development.

Our research not only contributes to academic knowledge but also empowers cities to be more adaptive, efficient, and resilient in the face of rapid social and environmental changes.
