For patients and the public
About our research
Our research group focuses on improving the outcomes of patients with bowel cancer, both in the short-term and long-term.
We study how inflammation, both in the body and around the tumour, affects how the cancer progresses. By understanding these relationships, we aim to incorporate this knowledge into everyday cancer treatment.
Ultimately, our goal is to create new, personalised treatment strategies for bowel cancer, tailoring care to each individual patient.
Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)
Patients and the public in Scotland, with lived experience of bowel screening or bowel cancer, are invited to join our patient steering group. More information can be found in our People in Research opportunity.
Public Engagement (PE)
This part of our website is currently under construction. We hope to share our patient engagement activities with you soon.
