You will develop an awareness of the cultural and environmental issues influenced by tourism and be able to apply critical and practical solutions. You will evaluate sustainable tourism as a response to local and global challenges experienced within and beyond the tourism industry, and discover policies and practices for the management of sustainable tourism and how these can be used to address environmental and cultural issues. You will be based at a world leading university, located within the Dumfries and Galloway region, an area notable for its natural and cultural resources, including a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, among many other sites of relevance to sustainable tourism.
