We offer a variety of Postgraduate Taught programmes; taught at the School of Social & Environmental Sustainability Dumfries Campus, the Gilmorehill Campus, and at our world-class consortium partners.

Our Postgraduate Programmes

MSc Management & Sustainable Tourism

This Masters will provide you with an understanding of the contemporary issues impacting on the tourism industry and will explore the cultural, environmental and sustainability dimensions of rural and urban tourism. By the end, you will have the managerial and service-related knowledge to develop culturally, environmentally and sustainably aware destinations. You will learn in both an urban and rural setting at the Gilmorehill Campus in the West End of Glasgow and our beautiful Dumfries campus in the South West of Scotland.

MSc Sustainable Tourism & Global Challenges

This programme will give you a strong understanding of sustainable tourism. You will develop an awareness of the cultural and environmental issues influenced by tourism and be able to apply critical and practical solutions. You will evaluate sustainable tourism as a response to local and global challenges experienced within and beyond the tourism industry, and discover policies and practices for the management of sustainable tourism and how these can be used to address environmental and cultural issues. You will be based at a world leading university, located within the Dumfries and Galloway region, an area notable for its natural and cultural resources, including a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, among many other sites of relevance to sustainable tourism.
