Dr Lilya Andrianova
I am a postdoctoral research associate and the astrocytes lover in the TNG, and do my best to incorporate studying these glial cells in all of our projects: immunology and neuroscience-centred ones alike. I am also quite passionate about teaching students in the lab, so if you’re looking for a hands-on experience in neuroanatomy and/or histology, I’ll be happy to hear from you.
I studied for my BSc in Biochemistry at the University of Warwick and chose to stay on to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience. An electrophysiologist by training, I then joined the Craig Lab at the University of Exeter on a project, investigating the ins and outs of a known memory circuit. Some years later the lab made a move up north to University of Glasgow and here we joined the Translational Neuroinflammation Group.
