Kristian Stefanov
Kris serves as a research assistant, actively contributing to investigations on chronic fatigue and pain in inflammatory arthritis through in-depth structural and functional brain MRI analysis. While operating both 3 Tesla and 7 Tesla MRI scanners, he mainly handles tasks ranging from pre-processing raw images to designing and conducting statistical analyses, with a specific emphasis on brain connectivity analyses. Kris plays a key role in supporting fellow researchers within the team, providing expertise in statistical design and analysis.
His doctoral work focused on addressing how brain imaging can dissect the heterogeneity of fatigue and offering valuable pathophysiological insights for treatment stratification in inflammatory arthritis. Kris has successfully published research papers and reviews in reputable journals and showcased his findings at international conferences, contributing to the global dialogue on brain-related symptoms in inflammatory conditions. With a strong background in biology, particularly neuroscience, Kris is always enthusiastic about discussing how imaging techniques can contribute to addressing pertinent clinical questions.
