GALLANT RESEARCH PROJECT 2 - RESTORING BIODIVERSITY

GALLANT - WP2 Banner

Improving biodiversity by restoring and connecting habitats across Glasgow.

GALLANT's "Restoring Biodiversity" Goal

GALLANT's Restoring Biodiversity team is addressing climate and biodiversity challenges caused by expanding urban areas by collaborating with other GALLANT teams in order to develop an integrated socio-ecological and network approach.

Our Approach to Restoring Biodiversity

GALLANT's biodiversity work will promote the management of urban environments, not as isolated habitat patches but as highly connected green and blue corridors for biodiversity and ESS (Environmental Systems and Societies), from coastal to upstream wetlands.

Research Areas

  • Ecosystem Services.
  • Habitat Connectivity.
  • Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
