Funding was awarded to cover the cost (130 Euros) of original photography of a set of gaming pieces from Lough Sewdy, now in the National Museum of Ireland (see invoice below). This was required because there were no existing images of this material. The resulting image is included in a forthcoming publication which will be submitted by Forsyth to the REF:

Katherine Forsyth and Mark Hall ‘Rhetoric and Reality in the Visual Culture of Medieval Celtic Board Games: literary and archaeological evidence combined’ in Games and Visual Culture in the Middle Ages, eds Elizabeth Lapina and Vanina Kopp, Brepols, Turnhout, Belgium (2020).

The NMI has added the image to their archive so in future it will be available free of charge to other scholars.
