The Scottish Funding Council will host a launch event for the Alliances for Research Challenges in Autumn 2023.
About the ARCs
The Scottish Funding Council will host a launch event for the four Alliances for Research Challenges (ARCs):
- Scottish Alliance for Food - healthy, equity and sustainability
- Brain Health Alliance
- Scottish Research Alliance for Energy, Homes and Livelihoods
- Quantum Technologies ARC
The ARCs have been set up to connect research excellence in Scotland with national challenges. Broadly, the ARCs aim to:
- Coordinate the research community across disciplines, sectors and institutions to foster collaboration
- Leverage additional funding into the Scottish research system
- Connect Scottish Government priorities with areas of strength within the publicly funded system
- Foster Early Career Researcher communities, training and development in Scotland
ARCs Launch Event
The SFC ARCs launch event will be held on October 23rd 2023 in Edinburgh. This is a closed event but we plan to share a short overview of the event via our newsletter and on our website.
