Liz DitchburnFormer Scottish Government and UK Government (DfID) senior civil servant

Liz is a highly experienced and senior public policy maker and practitioner with more than 35 years’ experience in international, UK, and devolved administration settings.

Her most recent civil service role was as Director General for Economy for the Scottish Government, leading on all areas of the economy and the drive to net zero in Scotland.

Prior to this, she had a long career in international development including roles for the UK government and was the UK expert on the UN Intergovernmental Committee of Experts on Sustainable Development Financing.

She is an Honorary Professor at the Adam Smith Business School, a non-executive director at the Net Zero Technology Centre and a Trustee at NESTA.

 

I am delighted to be joining the Centre for Public Policy’s Advisory Board. Glasgow University, with its breadth and depth of expertise has a huge contribution to make in the UK and globally, enriching public policy debates and building the capability of public policy professionals.  I look forward to supporting the Centre as it grows.
