The JWNC is pleased to announce that registration is now open for nanoFab UK 2025.
The JWNC is delighted to announce that registration is now open for the nanoFabUK 2025 Symposium:
Tuesday 2nd – Wednesday 3rd September 2025, hosted at Glasgow University Union (32 University Avenue, Glasgow G12 8LX).
The nanoFabUK Symposium creates a space for learning, sharing and networking for Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) that work in academic cleanrooms specialising in nanofabrication. This symposium is open to RTPs at any career stage and those who work with them in academia and industry.
This event will serve as a connection point for this community to exchange insights, collectively discuss common challenges, and explore emerging trends in micro/nanofabrication. Through a series of talks, workshops, exhibitions, breakout groups, cleanroom tours and social activities, participants will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics such as facility management, innovative techniques/processes, health and safety (H&S), cleanroom user education/training, financial administration, career development, and industry-academia interactions.
The aim is to build community learning opportunities and foster an expert nanofabrication community.
We would welcome talks from a range of participants. If you have an abstract, please submit it in the registration page. We propose talks could cover a range of topics, including:
- E-Beam
- Cleanliness
- RTP Career Development
- User training and induction
- Health and Safety & noncompliance
- Academic interactions and institutions
- Maintenance and facilities
- Developing novel processes
- Industry relationships
- Organisational Structures
- Building user communities/empowering users
- Environmental issues and responses
But would welcome ideas outside this list.
