Franziska Paul went on a research visit to Wolfhagen, Germany, in March 2022. Franziska was joined by Vera Weghmann (University of Greenwich). The researchers conducted five interviews in Wolfhagen with the mayor Reinhard Schaake, the city's climate manager, the CEO of the local Stadtwerke (utilities company), and two representatives from the local citizen's energy cooperative. The research focussed on the potential of remunicipalisation to lead to more demoratic and participatory forms of energy provision.
