Franziska Paul travelled to the state of Thuringia, Germany to conduct research on a number of recent remunicipalisation cases from 20-25 January 2020.
Franziska Paul went on a research visit to the state of Thuringia, Germany, from 20 to 25 January 2020. Franziska interviewed actors and stakeholders of remunicipalisation cases across the state. Case studies include the Ilm-Kreis (Arnstadt and Ilmenau), Bad Salzungen, Jena and Erfurt and cover a range of sectors including nurseries, transport, street lighting, energy, and waste management. Franziska also spoke to relevant experts and oversight authorities in Thuringia, such as the state audit office in Rudolstadt and the state administration office in Weimar.
