Daniel Shephard is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative and International Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. His research is at the intersection of sociology, education, and forced migration. His current work investigates how primary school in contexts of large-scale displacement affects the social networks, academic trajectories, and well-being of displaced and non-displaced learners.
